  1. The "Data Collection" dialog allows the user to specify how packets

  3. are collected.  There are five options:
  4.

  7.  *  Slice size:  allows the user to specify how many bytes of data
  8.  
  9.  will be saved for each Ethernet packet collected.  For example,
  10.  
  11.  if the user specifies 40 as the slice size, only the first 40
  12.  
  13.  bytes of data within the Ethernet packet will be saved.

  17.  * Always turn off network driver:  NetMinder Ethernet
  18.  
  19.  will disable the current network driver whenever the
  20.  
  21.  program is started.

  25.  *  Always ignore network driver:  NetMinder Ethernet will ignore

  27.  the current network driver whenever the program is started.  If
  28.  
  29.  you are connected to Ethernet, use these options if you would like
  30.  
  31.  to avoid the dialog that appears when NetMinder Ethernet starts.

  35.  *  Stop collection when buffer full:  This option disables NetMinder
  36.  
  37.  Ethernet's circular collection buffer.  Use this option to stop
  38.  
  39.  collection when packet data will be overwritten.

  43.  *  Display headers during collection:  Checking this option will
  44.  
  45.  cause NetMinder Ethernet to display packet headers in real-time
  46.  
  47.  during collection.  This option is only available if the "Stop
  48.  
  49.  collection when buffer full" option is enabled.
